If you've never tried Hand Rolled, you need to. A New Hyde Park staple, I've been going there since I was a kid. I couldn't even tell you what the best bagel they sell is, there are are so many to choose from. Blueberry, cinnamon raisin, and French toast are probably my favorites. Can't forget about the bacon egg and cheese too. I can't say enough good things about this place. The quality of the bagels is extremely high, and hasn't even declined slightly in all the years I've been eating there. One thing I would say to people trying Hand Rolled filled for the first time: it's not really a place that you can sit down and eat after you get your food. Another thing I would say to people trying Hand Rolled for the first time: this is the best bagel you'll find!

Dare I say .. these are the best bagels on Long Island ? Always fresh and always delicious !! They are so soft and huge. If you're watching your figure, you might want to stay away from this place. Service is decent, they are usually pretty busy. The blueberry bagel is my fav !

I get gluten free bagels, so my review is about that only. I went yesterday right before closing at 2pm and had a plain one with butter. Good texture but it had a slight taste of onion, which could be because it's heated up from frozen in a microwave, then in an oven. Today I went after 9am and had a plain bagel with scrambled eggs and turkey bacon. Again an onion taste, the turkey bacon was a little too overdone for my tastes, eggs were good, probably cooked on a steel griddle. I wasn't really in a rush to get to work because I'm here on vacation. If I was I wouldn't be too pleased because they were not really moving at a fast pace and if I had to catch a bus or train to work, I'd be pissed at how slow they were moving. Also you should note there is parking in a lot at the corner but there is nowhere to sit and eat inside.

When I do grab a bagel, I prefer one freshly made from a local bagel shop. Firstly, I am so glad that customer service has improved once again here, seems like there's more local NHP moms and local high school students working behind the counter. Secondly, why is there no coleslaw or potato salad which you'd expect to find available in a Long Island delicatessen? I tried the macaroni salad which was sour, or didn't seem fresh. Then tried their chicken salad which I found to be dry. The best salad they have was their smoked salmon salad and crunchy tuna salad, both were fresh and delicious. Bagels, my favorite ones that they make is the blueberry, sesame seed and onion bagels. The onion bagels always sell out by the afternoon, so order early. HRB, makes their bagels rather on the doughy side, which some prefer their bagels doughy. I like my bagels a bit more bready than the ones at HRB. Overall, the flavor is very good and they're way more super fresh than the bagels you'd buy at the supermarkets. And they're huge sized bagels! You can easily feed two people with just one bagel.

I'm a bagel lover and I'll go to many heights to get to try a new bagel spot. My gf was at the hospital for a check up and I got to check this spot out and oh man it turned out to be amazing plus they had her favorite so I got her the blueberry bagel which not many carry or have many off. I got my ice coffee, French vanilla of course delicious. Service was outstanding regardless how packed it was. This place is a pick up and go spot only!

It's pretty busy on a weekend morning and the service is quite slow and disorganized. If you can, it's best to order from their very extensive website. I honestly selected all my items and when I saw the prices, I was convinced that they use a pickup/delivery service that adds to the prices. Well I was wrong. Their prices (in store) are exactly the same as the online ordering on the website. So, yes, $2.25 for a bagel is a lot. But on the positive side, the appetizing is delicious and fresh. We had lox, tuna, and the whitefish and baked salmon salads, both great. The bagels here are absolutely BOMBS. Huge with lots of chewy dough. This doesn't make them better or worse, but it's something that everyone notices.

If you haven't figured it out by now, this place sells bagels. They are huge and base on the foot traffic in and out of this business, there a huge turnover of products. Translation, you get fresh bagel's every time. The service is a hit or miss. I have ordered on line and had to wait past the promised time, not because it wasn't ready but because there was no one to hand over the food. The other time, we walk right in and receive prompt service. Big shout out to Ben who seems to keep the flow of orders going when he is working the front desk. The bagels are delicious but the service is inconsistent.
